About Ryder Homestead & Blue Gum Cabin - Meet Your Hosts

Lyn - Ryder Homestead & Blue Gum Cabin

Having had a background in country living but ending up in Sydney at different ages both Lyn and Rob were looking forward to returning to that lifestyle when their family and work commitments allowed them.

Their own childhoods, their children’s childhoods and now their grand children’s childhoods center largely around outdoor experiences on farms and camping trips.

Rob - Ryder Homestead & Blue Gum Cabin

As a mother, grandmother and primary school teacher Lyn appreciates the importance of people of all ages experiencing the freedom to explore, discover and develop; to try new activities; to experience unstructured learning and playing times and to “be free”. On their property kids can be free to engage in activities they might not do in the city, such as yabbying, marshmallow-toasting and the craft shed.

"Our desire is that our guests at Ryder Homestead and Blue Gum Cabin center around family, friends or interest groups being together or sometimes not, engaging in activities that foster the above experiences." Lyn and Rob

Testimonials

Thank you for providing us with such a wonderful place to stay. The attention to detail was beyond any place that we have ever stayed in. The variety of activities for the kids meant that they didn’t even miss the TV. The cosy fire with marshmallows toasting made it a perfect country retreat, perfect for recharging the batteries and escaping the buzz of the city.
